The American Patriot Program Honor Event - November 12th 2010:
On November 12th, 2010 I had the honor of being able to present 4 American Patriot Awards to combat wounded veterans from WWII, Korea, Vietnam, and Iraqi Freedom. I had nominated these four individuals for the award, and the presentation was held at the Willmar Auditorium during the Veterans Day Observance. With this project, I have become affiliated with the American Patriot Program within our area.

American Patriot Program Mission and Information
The American Patriot Program (TAPP) celebrates the service and honors the sacrifice of the combat wounded and fallen military service member of the United States Armed Forces.
1990 Willmar graduate Wes Hazlett, former Independent league professional baseball player and owner of Laser Maker Baseball Clinics (Clara City, MN) started the American Patriot Program on the 4th of July in 2009 as a way to honor the men and women of our Armed Forces through America's Favorite National Pastime.
The program produces the American Patriot Award which has grown to be a highly respected national level military appreciation award. The award is crafted by an all volunteer team of baseball bat companies and one hockey stick manufacturer and is now presented at honor events throughout America.
Begining July 9th, 2011 TAPP became Stand & Salute American Heroes
